Situated at the foot of the Pic du Midi in the Domaine du Tourmalet, Barèges la Mongie is home to the largest ski area in the French Pyrenees, with 69 marked runs and 43 ski lifts. This area climbs from an altitude of 1,400 to 2,500 metres at either side of the legendary Col du Tourmalet: Barèges lies to the west face and La Mongie to the east face. The two ski areas have been linked since 1973. Striking a perfect balance, Barèges and La Mongie offer two distinct experiences for boardsports fans. Over 34 kilometres of ski lifts across the entire Domaine du Tourmalet.
